PacIOOS' WaveWatch III (WW3) model is a global 5-day, hourly forecast with an approximately 0.5-degree (~50-km) resolution. The forecast is run daily and gets updated on this website around 1:30 PM Hawaiʻi Standard Time (UTC-10) every afternoon. This global wave model helps capture large-scale ocean waves and provide spectral boundary conditions for higher-resolution regional wave models.
