The Gulf of America Coastal Hazards Forecast System (GoA-CHFS) is built on the Coupled Ocean–Atmosphere–Wave–Sediment Transport (COAWST) modeling system, which integrates the Weather Research and Forecasting model (WRF) and its hydrological extension (WRF-Hydro), the Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS), and the Simulating Waves Nearshore model (SWAN).
