Funding Information for IOOS Regional Partners
NOAA has been working to develop a funding strategy that will support the regional component of IOOS in FY2008 and beyond. The agency is currently reviewing and evaluating a variety of available funding models to complete the transition of the RA/RCOOS investment to a competitively-based and user-driven operational network that is effectively linked to the larger U.S. IOOS.
To ensure an open exchange of information, the NOAA IOOS program developed an FY08 Regional funding letter (pdf, 33kb) to convey agency priorities and principles that will guide IOOS regional funding decisions in FY08.
